Tips for Throwing a Great Party
If you are in charge of your next company party, or you are planning a party for an organization or a charity, you may be full of fear and dread. If you are not a party planner by design, you may have no idea where to start. Sound like you? No worries, we can help. Here are some tips to get your party planning off to an amazing start.
Create a General Plan
Take some time and sketch out the details of your party. If you have a theme or even a small list of themes, this is the place to put them. List what you are thinking about in terms of food and beverages. Be sure and put in your plan about how many people may attend. This general plan will help guide your first steps towards party planning.
Rent More, Not Less
With a corporate or an organizational get-together, there will always be more people who show up when you are not expecting them. You will need to plan for additional guests, which means you need to rent more than you think you are going to need. Be sure you have enough tents, tables, plates, cups, and utensils to accommodate all of your guests. It is really important to have more tables than you need because many people will seek out an empty table rather than one that is full.
Plan for the Weather
Don’t assume if you are planning an outdoor party, the sun will be shining on the day of your party. Instead, you need to plan for a party in all kinds of weather. That way, no matter what happens you’ll be prepared.
