Hosting a Holiday Party on Zoom

No matter where you are living in the United States, coronavirus is a staggering reality for all of us. Although we are all under a serious quarantine from gathering in large groups for the foreseeable future, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun as well. Here are some of our suggestions for hosting an amazing Holiday party on Zoom.

Hosting the Party of the Season

First, you’ll want to choose a theme for your Christmas party. You’ll want to tailor your invites and your party floor plan for Zoom on your theme. If you need to rent a few tables and props to make your party unique, you should carry it off.

Second, your Zoom party needs to have a floor plan of different rooms your guests could go to. One room could have music, and another room could have conversation. You may want to put all kinds of games in a third room, or even a virtual photo booth where people can take pictures using virtual frames.

Third, you can have food delivered to your guests by using a food delivery service, such as Doordash or Uber Eats. You might want to try a dessert delivery by mail as well. Imagine all of you eating together from a party platter–virtually of course.

You’ll want to have a costume for your party. Make sure your costume adheres to your party theme. Decorate your hosting room with all of the Christmas trappings you can find. Tell your guests to BYOB, and perhaps make one or two cocktail suggestions. Then you’re all set to host the virtual party of the season.
